Lighting on Sculk Sensors renders incorrectly while just underwater during darkness

I discovered that sculk sensors right below the surface of the water will light themselves incorrectly while activated and while the darkness effect is pulsing. This is in RC-1 for 1.19, and smooth lighting is at maximum. 

 

This also happens at nighttime and while the the player is underwater. Included are some images of the bug. This does not happen anywhere under the water's surface or above water, just barely above the surface.
