I have the Java version. I cannot beneficiate of the current offer of the free Bedrock
My launcher is Windows 10.0 2.3.228
If I update it to the Launcher offered in microsoft store then the game cannot launch at all, saying, while "updating launcher" :"cannot update the native launcher of Minecraft"...
This is terribly annoying.

I tried again today and now the launcher works again for some reason...
But on my microsoft Xbox account I cannot get the bed rock edition: it says I already have the java& bedrock game. While on my launcher screen it says I only have Java (please see enclosed screen captures -sorry it is in French...)

Please also install Xbox app, Xbox companion and Xbox identity provider.
Can you also open Xbox app, go to 'Settings' and 'General', and see if all necessary apps are installed in 'Dependencies' section, if not please install all of them.

Cancel your installation from the Launcher if you can. If you can't, just close the Launcher and go to the next step.
Go to the Microsoft Store application (https://aka.ms/MSStoreHome) - and go to Library and be sure you've cancelled all/any other installation attempts for this application.
You must install it on the C drive, so then you can navigate back to it (https://aka.ms/JavaBedrockEdition ) and click through to Bedrock or just click Install there and it should install Bedrock successfully via the Store.
