Error message from launcher saying "couldn't load launcher core". It says it was due to a corruption, so I reinstalled the launcher and keep getting the same error message.

Unrelated but does uninstalling the Minecraft launcher also uninstall the game itself? or does uninstalling the launcher just delete any files associated with it?
Kind of, yes. Before, I was deleting the launcher itself from my downloads, but all Minecraft files were intact (besides corruption). But uninstalling the launcher and deleting all files for Minecraft (with %appdata%) would give me a clean slate to redownload without any issues, but would delete my worlds. So you have to extract the saved files and put them somewhere else. Then you can uninstall the files.
Sorry to hear that @unknown, however the saved games has to be copied before deleting .minecraft folder. This folder is operative one, so if you delete it, the whole launcher and saved games disappear as well.
Therefore, glad that you have found solution for your issue. Closing the ticket as "Invalid".
Never mind. I found out how to fully uninstall the launcher and I installed it one more time. I've had this computer for 6 months, so I'm still not used to these things. Although, my saves were not present.
