When starting the launcher, it constantly switches between "Play" and "Play offline" every second. In addition, it also says "Oh no! Something went wrong and we couldn't connect to the Minecraft Services".

The only way I could solve this issue was to uninstall the MS Store version of the launcher and instead install the Win7/8 version. So it seems to be an issue with the store version of the launcher
