I tried to reconnect using the button on the top left corner next to the "No Connection" but it stays the same

I am also experiencing this bug and when I try to play in offline mode Minecraft stops responding and crashes. 😞 I attached my launcher log plz help me I actually just got Minecraft about 30 mins ago and I cant even play it.
I also have this problem please help... I just bought the game
So I found out what the problem was.... I deleted the .minecraft folder and redownloaded the legal launcher...
This issue has been open for me for almost a month. PLEASE help!
One additional piece of information is that: This morning I noticed that the bugs.Mojang.com seems to have inaccurately pulled the XBOX 360 username into this Minecraft account username. This is because I also have an XBox account which uses the same email address as my minecraft account with Mojang, however the XBox and Mojang each has a different username.
Might this contribute to the problem? I tried to login with my username instead of email to the launcher, still the same issuel
I still do not understand why it has worked OK for years, and all of a sudden I cannot access the game that I purchased from Mojang NOR the realms that I purchased. Please help ASAP.
Michael

I have uploaded my launcher file (attached 1 minute ago, above). Before doing so, I have tried every conceivable means to correct this error, including 1) uninstalling & reinstalling launcher 2) rebooting router & computer multiple times 3) changing my password on minecraft.net.
In summary, I CANNOT get the Minecraft launcher to connect.
Help!!
thanks,
ps. To further isolate the issue and make sure it was NOT an account username / password issue, I also went to a mac on the same wireless LAN and did a fresh install of the Java Minecraft launcher. It worked fine. The issue is with Windows Minecraft launcher.
I have this same error can not connect properly to the internet then when trying to join a server throws all sorts of connection errors. This started ever since the latest launcher update.
I also have this problem and continue to have this problem. This has been going on for 3 weeks now.
I managed to solve my mistake in the launcher, I just changed the computer date to the exact date of today and at the same time, just that my launcher tried to open in the future and did not update.
Legit cannot play the game at all because of this issue. I saw that this has been going on for a full year at this point for certain reports. It's actually crazy that this hasn't been resolved yet. There is tons of logs and evidence, why is nothing being done???
Yeah, same here.
When I open the launcher it's disconnected upon startup, but if I press refresh it actually does connect most of the time, although the skins never load.
I've been experiencing this issue for about two weeks. Please solve this soon Mojang! I was just getting hyped for The Bug Update, and then this launcher bug appears. I just want my favorite game to work right man!
Despite this I really do appreciate all the hard work you guys put in at Mojang to make this game fun for everyone.
Having same issue on Ubuntu 18.04. Launcher times out when attempting to connect to https://authserver.mojang.com/authenticate. Changing DNS, connecting from a different network, and using the beta channel for the launcher does not fix the problem.
At least provide a way to use a previous, working version of the launcher while this issue is being fixed. Our only alternative is to rely on potentially insecure third party launchers.
This issue may actually just be a technical one. Try Community Support by clicking on the Quick Link below:

Hello Everyone,
I FINALLY got this solved (although not ideal solution) via the community support link that was sent out by Greymagic27 this am.
After uploading a log, they said there may be some issue with launcher and Webroot. Which can cause log in issues.
"If you're having issues logging in or joining a LAN world while using Webroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus, open Webroot and disable the built in Firewall. (I tried this and the launcher still did NOT work). They went on to say "Alternatively, use a different antivirus program, such as Malwarebytes."
The way I got it to work is to totally exit Webroot. After doing so, the launcher worked. Not ideal but is a short term solution so long as you remember to turn it back on or find a new solution for webroot.
Ideally I would still like to have Minecraft work with Webroot.
good luck
It's still not working. What I'm even supposed to do. Open Minecraft with an 3rd party application?

Hey everyone, this has been an issue for many of you for a very long time. The offline experience is obviously not great and there is room for improvement. Your reports are valuable to us and we have started tracking this internally with the hope of providing you with a better offline experience and fewer false positives.
I can't give any ETA when a better solution will be released as we have a lot in our pipeline right now, but please stay tuned!
The things I'm describing now has been mentioned time and time before. Please try to keep this around for others to read.
When launcher says you are offline, it means the connection to the servers are failing at some point.
So the most likely causes are:
1) dns resolution fails, i.e authserver.mojang.com does not resolve to an actual ip adress.
2) dns resolution succeeds, but certificate checks fail
3) slow network (unlikely cause)
Solutions:
1) ensure nothing interferes with dns name resolution (for example modified hosts files on windows). In the logs similar to:
[Info: 2019-12-17 00:55:34.7110209: NetQueue.cpp(543)] NetQueue: Starting net action https://authserver.mojang.com/authenticate
[Info: 2019-12-17 00:55:34.7745380: NetQueue.cpp(408)] NetQueue: Primary ip: , Url: authserver.mojang.com
Notice the missing ip adress after "ip: ".
2) ensure logs does not contain stuff similiar to:
[Info: 2019-12-17 00:55:34.7110209: NetQueue.cpp(543)] NetQueue: Starting net action https://authserver.mojang.com/authenticate
[Info: 2019-12-17 00:55:34.7745380: NetQueue.cpp(408)] NetQueue: Primary ip: 142.44.142.126, Url: authserver.mojang.com
[Info: 2019-12-17 00:55:34.7746420: NetQueue.cpp(440)] NetQueue: Action failed with result "schannel: next InitializeSecurityContext failed: SEC_E_UNTRUSTED_ROOT (0x80090325) - The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted." (35) : https://authserver.mojang.com/authenticate
which indicates you may have some thirdparty "auth service" in between mojang auth services. Or some weird root certificate like in this case. Not good.
Historically there has been some other causes for this but they have all been adressed. Launcher defaults to ipv4 regardless of your own network protocol so if you still have problems and you know you are running ipv6, please file a bug and tell us.
The same thing here doesn't know whats the problem. I also reinstall the Minecraft launcher but still not work.
Hello Mojang, I have been with this error for 1 week here I leave my launcher_log.txt for you to review. Thank you

hey mojang I cant even access the account from minecraft.net, also I run ipv6 but im not a coding expert so idek how to find my launcher.txt
Hey, I was having the same problem but I think I found a fix because now it works for me. I just signed out and signed back in and it started working. Hope this is helpful.
We've released an update Minecraft Launcher version that handles DNS lookups differently. It should now respect the DNS lookup mechanism that you use on your OS.
If you are still experiencing this issue you might have incompatible software running, or you've intentionally made changes to your OS to prevent lookups for going through to mojang.com
Having the same issue. I'm getting a "No ip address available. Error code 7, Host: authserver.mojang.com" as well as a "Failed to get clientToken from configuration"
here is my launcher_log:
[media]Hello! What should I do if at the bottom of the launcher it says to me: "Something went wrong and we couldn't connect to minecraft services". Because of this, the launcher does not see that I have purchased Java Edition.
I'm the same... Well, it's enough to buy again, but losing money from bugs is a bad idea. Let's all do our best.
I was having the same issue with the launcher not connecting to the network so I tried re-logging and now I can't even log into my account on the launcher. Please fix this soon.
See the mod notice at the top of the report. See if community support can assist you.
If you have a program named: MCLeaksAuthenticator installed on your PC then open it and if u have the option MCLeaks selected then slelect Mojang and your problem should be fixed. If u dont have that program installed then i dont know how to fix the problem.
If you have such a program, you should uninstall it and follow the instructions from MC-207896 to be able to play Minecraft. It's malware and trying to steal your password.

Hello! I also had a problem with this, unfortunately I logged off my account and now I cant log back to it. Here's my log file
[media]Sadly, microsoft is now forcing us to migrate the account from mojang to microsoft.
as soon you did that, you can log in with that microsoft-account and the launcher is "connected to the net again"
thank you microsoft... 😞
I don't have any incompatible software as suggested and I'm running different MacOS versions, and computers.

The new launcher has a lot of bugs, so please download and use the windows 7/8 version of the launcher from here.
I was sent here by Minecraft Support in order to wait until new Minecraft launcher will be fixed. Since currently I'm unable to launch a game from this launcher, it has no connection to servers , shows me only demo version available and the laucher unable to recognize that I'm logged in (even despite the fact, that I'm logging in each time). Are there any updates when this issue will be fixed?
I can use old launcher for Java Minecraft, but this bug blocks Bedrock version completely.
Are users still running into this issue presently? We're unsuccessfully reproducing it internally and need more information if it's still happening for anyone.
I have run into this issue after I have migrated. I'm unsure as to why. I checked my fire walls and I am connected to the internet. I didn't run into this issue a couple of weeks ago.
im also having this issue for a while now tried everything it seems to work fine with minecraft 7/8 edition but not the win 10/11 jave edition
have the same problem after the connection of java and bedrock in onw launcher also ia havent installed any incompatible software
If you're still having this problem: Would you attach a current launcher log file to this bug so we can figure this out?
Raaj22 & PhantomVir, we've checked out your log files; please try the following:
1) Run Wsreset to reset Store:
Press the [Win] + [R] keys on the keyboard simultaneously
enter "WSReset" in the window that comes up, and confirm with [Enter].
2) Sign out of the Microsoft Store and sign back in - this might reset your connection
3) Sign out and back in to the Xbox App: For that matter, get it here if you don't have it already: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/apps/xbox-app-for-pc
Try these steps and report back your results please.
After I enter WSReset, a command box appears what to do for that?
and the minecraft is still showing offline after doing all those
Raaj22: The launcher_log file you attached has a datestamp of Dec 2019; can you re-attach a newer/current one?
The new launcher does have to be installed and you should have run it recently to get a recent log. Just run the launcher and it'll generate a new log file.
And perhaps you know this already - but then open this file location: C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
(that's where it typically is anyway)
Where YOURNAME is replaced with whatever your user name on your COMPUTER is.
In that folder you'll see your launcher_log.txt file.
Potential workaround for this for users on the new launcher from the Microsoft Store that seems to have helped a few people.
Close the launcher
Open Xbox Companion App (not the Xbox app, though that may also work)
Sign in to the account you're using in the launcher in the Xbox Companion App. You do not need to do anything minecraft-related in the app, just sign in to the app itself directly.
Relaunch the launcher
If you try this, please update here if it helped or not. This fix is not known to solve the issue on the 7/8 launcher, so if users are seeing it on that or on non-Windows OS, please update here as well.
Console Companion app to install is here: https://aka.ms/XboxConsoleCompanion
Raaj22: Please confirm that you installed the console companion app & signed in to it and are still having this problem.
I saw this message and followed the instructions from above.
However, when I try to log in with the Xbox Companion App, I get the error code "0x409 0x80080300" and cannot log in.
It recommends the "Xbox" software as an alternative, but even if I log in with the "Xbox" software, the launcher is still in offline mode.
─Postscript─
In my case, it does not even load the account selection screen or the profile image that appears in the upper left corner (see image).
※I am Japanese and this is my first time using this bug form.
Sorry if the English text is wrong or if I use it incorrectly.
Still the launcher is offline , can't recognize my account, when the window of 1.19 opens, i cant connect to servers
Additional request: To get this to the right team, I need a feedback hub ticket logged, to help gathered additional system logs.
Type "feedback hub" in the search bar at the bottom left of your PC desktop
Open the feedback hub app
Title your feedback item something like "Minecraft Launcher: Stuck in offline mode" and submit
I fixed this issue by login myself into the Xbox Console Companion App. Why it works, I have no clue, but it fixed the issue.
i have reported and i have also signed in to Xbox Console Companion App but still it dosenot work
Minecraft.exe is started with a path name that cannot be set in Windows Defender Firewall
[media]Pretty late, but this solved for me, so it's worth giving it a try:
Close your Minecraft launcher
Click start and search for "Xbox Console Companion" app
Open it, and it should give you a warning saying that there's a new Xbox app for that, but just ignore it and sign in with your Microsoft account
After doing so open the Minecraft launcher again and when you try to sign in you should be able to login into your account
I think that the problem might be with the new Xbox App, since logging into that one doesn't work
I was having the same problem and can confirm switching to the Xbox Console Companion instead of the new Xbox app worked for me. I now see "Play" instead of "Play Demo."
I came here first and was told to submit a Minecraft Help ticket, so I did that and they pointed me back here. If it helps, I'm attaching my launcher log and this is what I submitted to Minecraft Help:
I downloaded the Minecraft Launcher from the Xbox app on my PC (see screenshot 1). I've tried this a few times over the past few months but the same thing happens each time.
I click Microsoft Login (see 2); my Mojang account doesn't work anymore because I migrated a while ago. It automatically logs me into my Microsoft account (see 3), which does own Minecraft according to the first screenshot. I click Let's Play and it takes me to the main page of the launcher (see 4).
The problem is that the play button says "Play Demo" for the Java edition and "Play Trial" for the Windows edition. The bottom bar says, "Oh no! Something went wrong, and we couldn't connect to the Minecraft services. Try again" but "Try again" does nothing. If I go to Settings > Accounts, it says there is no network connection even though my Wi-Fi is definitely working (see 5).
I've played both Java and Windows before, so I know I own them both. I've tried restarting my computer, signing in and out, reinstalling the launcher, downloading the launcher straight from minecraft.net, and cleaning up cached account tokens. None of it seems to make any difference. I think there may be a bug with the launcher that prevents it from connecting to the Minecraft services on my PC but everything I read about this on bugs.mojang.com just tells me to submit my request here.
I tried their troubleshooting: reseating the power cable on the router (leaving it unplugged for 30 seconds), changing my DNS settings (see screenshot 6), and disabling “Let apps run in the background.” I also noted that I haven’t noticed any network latency, outages, instability, etc. and that I am running Windows 10 version 21H2. That's when they sent me back here and I read about trying the old Xbox Console Companion app.
[media]
I am having a similar problem but when I sign into the Microsoft account I have linked with my Java account, It comes up with a bedrock account I created with the same E-Mail awhile ago and will not let me login to the account with java edition and let me play. Does anyone know of a solution or do I need to attach any screenshots? This started to happen when I logged out of my old Mojang account that I still had on my launcher and tried to sign back in with Microsoft.
If you're running into this problem, definitely try this first- install and sign in to these two:
Xbox App: https://aka.ms/DLXboxApp
Xbox Console Companion: https://aka.ms/XboxConsoleCompanion
Most likely it's happening due to a dependency missing. These might solve that problem. If not - make sure you have these installed also:
Xbox identity provider: https://aka.ms/XboxIdentityProvider
Xbox live in game experience: https://aka.ms/XboxLiveInGame
If it still doesn't solve it:
Can you report a support case so that we can have a closer look at your problem? You can do that here: https://aka.ms/MCLauncherSupport
Please start that support ticket with the following text: "Reporting from MCL-11510 to provide the requested information". This is so that our support team can find you easily and forward that to us.
Then include screenshots of the launcher, the launcher_log.txt file (from this location on your PC: %appdata%\.minecraft ) , your Xbox Gamertag, and information on how you own Minecraft Java and/or Bedrock. Was it a direct purchase on minecraft.net or by game pass?
I already have the Xbox App and the Xbox Console Companion app installed and signed into,
The links for the Xbox identity provider and the Xbox live in game experience do not allow me to download either of them and it seems to happen to a lot of people based off the reviews on the web page,
I have deleted the email containing my Transaction ID not knowing It would be necessary to report a problem.
All that I know is that there are two different accounts linked to one Microsoft account and I am not able to sign into the one that contains my copy of Minecraft : Java Edition.
If you have the Xbox App installed, open it and see if it tells you any errors are happening. It should tell you if you're lacking any dependencies, it'll clarify what those are.
Also, you can open your Task Manager, go to the Services tab, and look for "Gaming Services" - see if it's enabled/running or stopped. It should be running.
misswarkitty: This is typically happening because your system is missing a dependency. I recommend trying the steps outlined above, reaching out to Minecraft support directly, or going to the Minecraft Discord to get help from community mods who know how to address this issue.
A code fix was rolled out this week that might address this issue - as such, setting this to "Resolved" for now. If you are still facing this issue even after updating to the most updated Launcher version, drop a comment here.
Minecraft.exe is started with a path name that cannot be set in Windows Defender Firewall
Minecraft.exe is started with a path name that cannot be set in Windows Defender Firewall, so you will not be able to bring the launcher online or log in to the multiplayer server unless you allow all the sends in the firewall settings.
If you set the defender firewall to "Ountbound connections that do not match a rule are blocked" and start launcher, it will be "offline".
[media][media]
Set the defender firewall to "Ountbound connections that do not match a rule are allowed", start the launcher, and check the network connection status with CurrPorts.exe. minecraft.exe is started with a path name that cannot be set in Windows Defender Firewall.

I want to use a Windows PC with the firewall setting "Ountbound connections that do not match a rule are blocked", so please start the launcher with a path name that can be added to the firewall rule.

gwin7ok - I'm not sure if you're asking how to configure your firewall to allow-list the Launcher - but for the "can't connect to services" problem you're facing on a win10 device, the understood solution is to install xbox console companion and xbox app and login to both:
Xbox Console Companion: https://aka.ms/xcc
Xbox App: https://aka.ms/DLXboxApp
Assuming you see no errors in the xbox app, that should resolve your problem. If there are other dependencies missing, then there may be more action necessary.
That said: It is a good idea to allowlist the Launcher as well - but that's likely not at the root of what's going on now.
@unknown san. thank you for your reply.
The result of testing in my environment.
Even if I log in with my Microsoft account on the Xbox Console Companion and Xbox App, if I set the firewall to "Ountbound connections that do not match a rule are blocked", the minecraft launcher goes offline.
Even if I don't log in with my Microsoft account on the Xbox Console Companion and Xbox App, if I set the firewall to "Ount bound connections that do not match a rule are allowed", the minecraft launcher will be online.
So, in order to use minecraft launcher with the firewall set to "Ountbound connections that do not match a rule are blocked", I need to add minecraft launcher to the firewall's Outbound Rules, but now It cannot be added with the path name running in the version of.
[media][media]After reinstalling Gaming Services according to the procedure on this page,
Diagnosing and troubleshooting Gaming Services dependencies
after reinstalling minecraft launcher, the launcher was installed in a different location and can be registered in the firewall, so the problem Has been resolved.

I'm having a similar bug MCL-22352
Same issue happens with the Windows 7/8 launcher - for which your XBox and Gaming apps DO NOT EXIST (they are Windows 10 or 11 specific).
Those CAN'T be dependencies for the 7/8 launcher - and if they are, that is a MAJOR ISSUE since Mojang still officially supports those operating systems with what it supposed to be it's own version of the launcher.
And for reference, I don't use "Windows firewall" and have it completely turned off - but I do have the applicable port forwarding set on my router/firewall/switch appliance box.
Hello! We're sorry you're experiencing this problem. In order to diagnose the problem, we need to look at your launcher log file. It's called launcher_log.txt, and can be found in your Minecraft folder. Please attach it to this bug report.
