@unknown per my understanding, Launcher's minimum window size is 720p. The issue as written here is saying resolution of 1266 x 768 isn't fitting - and I'm assuming this means with the Launcher resolution at default & no up-scaling happening either at the OS level or within the Launcher settings. 

Assuming all that is true, it should fit. Can you confirm what your OS level zoom settings & Launcher level display settings are set to?

We recommend you set your system to scale not beyond 100%.

Can anyone who ran into this issue confirm whether it is still happening?

@unknown This might be a longshot - but have you verified whether you're logged in to the MS Store with the same account? It working on one account and not the other might suggest something like that. https://aka.ms/MSStoreHome - it's always wisest to be logged in to the Launcher with the same account that's in the MS Store and the Xbox App when you're having trouble, just to be extra sure/safe.

@unknown It looks like this isn't something at the Launcher level, but more likely an issue in your account - assuming your problem is that you aren't able to change/set your java nickname either on the Launcher or on the minecraft.net website. I know you said you'd spoken to support already, but perhaps you spoke with Xbox support, who wouldn't have any knowledge of this issue or of your minecraft account.

@unknown This is quite an old bug - would you please attach your launcher log file here, and outline the very specific steps you're taking that lead to the error you're seeing?

@unknown I believe you can look within Settings on your Mac and find a place to grant the access the app requires. 

1) If you are running into this problem - I'm guessing you are on a win10/11 machine. If so, open the MS Store (aka.ms/MSStoreHome) and go to "Downloads" (or "Library" if you don't have a downloads section in the lower left hand corner) and check to see if it's currently installing anything. If it is - let that finish and see if anything changes.

 

2) Also, tell the Store to check for updates and install anything pending/necessary. 

These 2 steps SHOULD address the issue if you are still in a stuck state.

 

Oh and 3) First, restart the Launcher & let it update. 

@unknown what kind of system are you running the Launcher on (Mac, Windows, Linux?) and what operating system version - and are you running the most up to date version of the Launcher?

Per measurements stated in comments, issue is not still happening.

Please confirm this fixed your issue: 

delete all the Caches and cookies within Safari

Please FIRST ensure you don't have any other versions of the Launcher running (e.g. the "Legacy" launcher, with the grey icon on PC); 
if that's confirmed and you try again and it still doesn't work, open you task manager and end any/all minecraft launcher processes you see open there.

Please try these steps and report back whether either of these addressed your issue.

Fixed build is on the Beta channel right now - (go into settings and select the "beta builds" option) - and should be out on release tomorrow.

@unknown would you provide your log file so we can take a look? And please check to see if the Microsoft Store has installed all current / available updates.

Launcher team is actively working on this. Fixed build should be out in the next day or two, tops. 

This looks like a Java/game issue, not a Launcher issue
