Mojang Studios Note
Please note - some users may be encountering an error when attempting to sign in to the launcher due to missing required dependencies, such as the Xbox Console Companion app. More information about how to check and resolve this can be found here: Minecraft Launcher Troubleshooting FAQ - Login Issues
Additionally, you can check that you have the latest updates by going to the Microsoft Store home (aka.ms/MSStoreHome), clicking "Library" and "Get Updates" and letting it run. Ensuring all dependencies are installed typically solves this problem.
The title. I bought a brand new laptop and tried to play Minecraft on it as a test, but I couldn't seem to get past the login page in the launcher. I'm stumped, I couldn't find a fix for a couple hours.

I can't really log out of my account if I can't log in in the first place, or did you mean something different?

Hi there!
On which Launcher did this issue occur? On Windows 7/8 or Windows 10/11? (from website or from MS store?)
Please also uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion) and then reinstall.
Are you logged in in both MS store and Launcher with the same MS account?
Have you tried signing out of all your Windows Apps, and the signing in again?
Is your Windows and associated apps (Xbox app, MS store) up-to-date?
Please update Windows (check for updates regardless).
Have you tried to re-registering MS store as written here?
Please also install Xbox app, Xbox companion and Xbox identity provider and sign in with the same account that you are logged in on MS store and in Launcher.
Do you use VPN or any of the incompatible software on machine you try to log-in?
This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.
I have mac and it suddenly just stopped working and said this: "Error Code: 0x89235100 code: Deep Ocean. Something went wrong in the login process. For more information, go HERE or contact Customer Support directly." So my question is, how to resolve this issue? I've reinstalled the launcher but it still doesn't work..
MattisHacker12 did you manage to fix it? I have the exact same problem and Im on mac too. Also before it happened the first time Minecraft asked to get access to my keyring on my Mac which I denied. Im pretty sure that has something to do with it but I dont know where i can give miencraft access to it.
@unknown I believe you can look within Settings on your Mac and find a place to grant the access the app requires.
I have tried that but its still the same. I dont know what else to do. All solutions that have worked for other people are for PC and I cant do those on my mac. 😞
@unknown consider reaching out to support directly so we can triage better - it's a bit trickier to do via comments here.
Hey, I just had the same problem when trying to log into my account however, I found out how to fix this issue in a couple of seconds.
I resolved the issue by completely logging out of my account from the launcher, then re-logging into my account on the launcher by clicking log in through Microsoft, then finally typing in my details and I was able to log in again perfectly fine.
Hope this helps!
