Launcher takes >1 minute to start on a a modern 6-core processor with plenty of RAM

(Launcher version is incorrect because you apparently don't have the newest launcher version listed here, v2.24.17-1.7.2)

The launcher takes over 1 minute to get to an usable state on a modern 6-core processor with plenty of RAM (AMD Ryzen 5 5600H with 16GB of RAM).

This level of performance is unacceptable. Sitting on a loading screen for a LAUNCHER for more than a minute is ridiculous.

Fix it.

to start we recommend updating to the most recent version of Windows as follows:

Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Press the “Check for Updates” button (even if it says everything is up to date).

The next step is to try resetting the Xbox app, Microsoft Store, and Minecraft launcher as explained below:

1. Press Windows key + I on your keyboard to open Windows Settings and click "Applications."

2. Find the app named "Xbox", select it, then click "Advanced Options", and finally click "Reset". Confirm the process. Repeat the same steps for the apps named "Microsoft Store" and "Minecraft Launcher."

3. Restart your PC and check if the issue is resolved.

I also add, if your problem is, try reinstalling the launcher from the official minecraft.net page

Just want to add that I'm also noticing a much more increased load time ever since the armadillo start screen animation was added. While my launch time is not as extreme, it is still taking a notably longer amount of time compared to before. From the moment of opening, it takes a full 12-15 seconds to launch. Previously this was only around 5-8 seconds.

Following the instructions provided did not resolve the issue.

We do not have enough information to find the cause of this issue.

Since MCL-24706 was closed as a duplicate and the issue still persists, this ticket should be reopened.

Affects 3.3.13 (Legacy Win).

Per measurements stated in comments, issue is not still happening.

Obviously you have a much clearer view of the internal workings and the changes from version to version so I'm not trying to say anyone is wrong. All I, as a player, see is the symptom (> 3x the load time). Is there a way I can gather more information for a new ticket? I attached a launcher log to the one I made but I don't know what to look for in it.

@unknown what kind of system are you running the Launcher on (Mac, Windows, Linux?) and what operating system version - and are you running the most up to date version of the Launcher?

Windows 10 LTSC 1809. The launcher is "legacy" one, version b3.3.13-2.1.3.
