I can't start Minecraft on both Ubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu 22.04.
When I open terminal and write down 'minecraft-launcher', a updating window was opened, and it started updating. But this work won't be a long time because it will fail after a while.
At first, I think it's my Ubuntu's version isn't allowed, so I update it to 22.04.
But when I start launcher on Ubuntu 22.04 again, it showed a link twice in terminal and started updating, when it updated half, it seemed stop, after a long time, the window was closed by itself and failed in updating again! At last, it left a sentence in terminal:
'MessageBox(Minecraft Launcher): Unable to update the Minecraft Native Launcher.'
I can't understand reason, I have tried a lot:
- reinstall launcher
- update offline
- change java version: OpenJDK to Oracle java, java 18 to java 8
- reinstall 'Minecraft.deb'
- remove Launcher on Windows 10 ( I have two systems on computer )
All of them didn't work. I think maybe the reason is about two systems.
Hope you can give me some advice to solve this problem.

@Zgajak
Hello! Thank you for your advice.
I read this two and delete files in .minecraft/launcher, then I reinstall and start launcher, but there's a new error:
LZMA error from LzmaDec_DecodeToBuf: 1
UnLZMA failed: resetting state.
MessageBox(Minecraft Launcher): Unable to update the Minecraft Native Launcher.
Hope you can help me again, thanks~
Hi there!
Is .minecraft folder created during attempted installation?
Please see MCL-17315 and MCL-14214 for possible solutions.
