I got the update today opened the launcher once and now can no longer open it.

You have selected the version "1.6.93 (legacy)" as affected version for your report. Nowadays most users are using the new native launcher.
If the launcher you are using has a big green "PLAY" button for starting the game, then you are using the new launcher. To find out the version you are using, please click on "Settings" in the lower left corner, then open the "About" tab. Right below "Launcher" it shows the version of the launcher.
Please update the affected versions of your report by removing "1.6.93 (legacy)" and choosing the correct version.

In case you are actually using the legacy launcher, consider switching to the new native launcher. It can be downloaded here.

I am using that launcher I just put in the wrong one sorry also It still won't work and I don't know why it is same with a bunch of my friends computers.

Does the .minecraft folder is created?
Can you try booting it while offline?
Have you tried reinstalling the Launcher? If not uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion) and then reinstall, restart your computer. Then please try to boot the Launcher.

I fixed it I had a windows update and then I could open it again. sorry but It dosent let you open it if you have a pending windows 10 update...

In the future, please select correct system you are playing on.
