Java edition unexpected error

I had this error, but I had a VPN on and turning it off fixed the issue. Hope this helps!

I have VPN turn off too 😃 But doesnt work.. it must be off!

Support is talking with me, but they dont know how to help me .. 😃 Theyre responding me every day.. 
I wrote to them that a lot of people here on the group have the same problem as me, so hopefully they will solve it.. it seems to me that they are making excuses and don't know what to do with it, because they want some screenshots to see what I did, that what did they tell me.. and they still want it, and when I gave it, they said that I have to send it again, that it can't be displayed.. they don't know how to solve it, maybe there must be some kind of tracker to fix it

• The errors you have encountered may indicate that there is no game associated with the Microsoft account that is signed in, either on the Microsoft Store, the Xbox App, or the Minecraft Launcher itself. Please make sure that you are signed into the correct Microsoft account that your copy of Minecraft: Java Edition is associated with.

• You may need to sign out of your Microsoft account on the applications mentioned above, then sign back in order to refresh the connection to our servers and properly detect ownership of the Java edition of Minecraft.

• You can also go to accounts.microsoft.com, sign into the Microsoft account that has the Java edition of Minecraft associated with it, and under the "devices" setting, remove any devices you are not familiar with. Any extra devices found there might contribute to the error that you are experiencing.

• We want to ensure you are not missing any required Microsoft dependencies, or that a dependency is outdated. To make sure this is not occurring:

1. 1. Go to your Windows Search Bar (You can do this by hitting the Windows key on your keyboard!)

   2. Search for, and open the application "Microsoft Store"

   3. Within the Microsoft Store, click the 'Library' icon on the bottom left corner of the window

   4. Click the "Get updates" button in the upper right side of the screen

   5. Ensure the Xbox app is fully downloaded and updated

   6. Reboot your computer to ensure the installation has finished completely!

Additional troubleshooting:

• If you are still having issues, there are multiple ways to install the launcher. Please make sure to try all possible avenues to try and bypass this error: 

  • You can install the Minecraft Launcher from https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download. 

  • You can also search "Minecraft Launcher" in either the Xbox app or the Microsoft Store and download it from there. 

• A few additional tips to try, as they may help resolve the issue:

  • Make sure that the storage on your device is not full and can properly handle the new install of the Minecraft launcher. 

  • Make sure that the time and date are set correctly on your device.

  • Make sure that you have a stable internet connection as that can have an effect on this error showing up during installation.

  • Ensure your device is not restricted - this can sometimes be the case for devices managed by work or school.

    • If your device is restricted, you will need to contact your system administrator.

I was able to get on by turning off my VPN and connecting fully. Even with the VPN turned back on it works once I got in initially.
