The "duplicate" has a problem copying his files, but mine has stayed in the same place?

Same things apply as in the other ticket. Did you actually run the game, or just the launcher? The game doesn't necessarily download all the resources until you load up a world. Also, how are you starting the launcher? Where does it think the game files are being stored, since you're using a junction?

I'd recommend just using the --workDir argument to the launcher to specify where the game's files should be stored. Once you've ensured that it's downloaded everything necessary to play, it should be portable, and function in offline mode without an internet connection.

I've try to make my minecraft "portable" with a batch file saying "SET APPDATA=%CD%\data
bin\minecraft.exe" but it still won't work. I've played a world and everything it only says to update on my home computer(with no internet). This is very upsetting.
