This issue happens after opening the launcher and leaving it there for a while. Not sure if it can be reproduced in a certain specific way.

I think this is because of the update of the latest version on Mojira, since it does not seem to happen anymore after I visit Mojira

If yes, please uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion) and then reinstall, restart your computer. Then please try to boot the Launcher.

Does this issue occur on Windows 10/11 version of the Launcher or Windows 7/8 version?
Are you logged in in both Xbox app, MS store, and Launcher with the same MS account?
Have you tried signing out of all your Windows Apps, and the signing in again?
Is your Windows and associated apps (Xbox app, MS store) up-to-date (check for updates regardless)?
Do you have enough free space on your disc drive?
Please also uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion) and then reinstall, restart your computer. Then please try to boot the Launcher.
Do you use VPN or any of the incompatible software on machine you try to log-in?
Please also upload launcher_log file from .minecraft folder.
