Minecraft will not launch on Linux Mint

The launcher should launch Minecraft. Neither the older versions nor the more recent ones are functioning as of yesterday (11/8) evening. They worked fine in the morning.

What actually happened was...: I logged in, logged out and logged in again. I clicked the green play button. The immediate reaction was to get a big red banner in the upper right corner that said Minecraft is unable to launch—changing to the most recent release does nothing.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the launcher
2. Click play on Minecraft Java Screen
3. See permanent "..." on the green button and a quick flash of the earlier mentioned red banner.

Hi there!

Could you provide a screenshot?
Also could you write on what versions does this occur?
Also please state if you use mods on the Launcher.

This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.

Attached screenshot.

The version does seem to be Minecraft 1.7.10, 1.19.2 work fine IF I start it first. It won't start ANYTHING once I try the other and I get the error message. There are mods on the 1.7.10 version of Minecraft, I've used the same one for a couple of years now just fine.

I assume you mean mods on the Launcher itself? None.

I added no new mods or other changes between morning and evening yesterday. It just stopped working.

RESOLVED!

I've seen others reporting in, it seems the newest update fixed whatever the last one broke. Thanks!

Thank you for your report!
