Launcher asks me to give a profile name, but I already created one (with associated game)

I changed my Microsoft Gamertag, while having Minecraft installed on my PC, with a Java Edition profile already created and a few games launched with it. I would like to at least keep the games I launched.

What I expected to happen was...:
Be able to continue to play on the profile I created and on the games I had.

What actually happened was...:
When starting the launcher and launching Minecraft Java Editions, clicking play asks me to create a profile first. I cannot use the former profile name and do not want to lose it or erase the game by changing the profile.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Minecraft launcher from the Microsoft platform to obtain the game
2. Update the OS from Windows 10 to Windows 11 (not sure this has anything to do with the bug, but just in case).
3. Change Microsoft Gamertag (I did from PontRagout2340 (not sure) to Cristobowl6420)

4. Try to launch Minecraft Java Edition

5. Get the "Create Profile to play" window...

PS: see issue MCL-22866 might be the same problem.

To resolve that issue:
1. Open the Minecraft launcher.

2. Click on "Parameters" on the low left side.

3. Click on the "Account" tab.

4. Click on "Change account", the XBox window to change account will open.

5. Click on "Change account" in the XBox window.

6. Select your current account (mail address). As the account is basically the same (only the gamertag has changed), XBox will update the link between the Minecraft launcher and your XBox/Microsoft account (with the new Gamertag).
