[MCL-23690] the option to see older versions does nothing and only shows up the latest version

I recently bought minecraft deluxe edition and I played was playing the game until I wanted to see an older version of minecraft and I went to setting, turn on the "show historical versions of minecraft: java edition in the launcher" and it show the same thing, 1.20.1 and 23w33a and nothing else, I tried reseting the launcher and it did nothing, I cant play 1.16 or 1.8

Hi, what happens when you go into the Installations tab and select an old version of Minecraft? Is it listed or not?
By default, of course, not all available versions are showing up on the Play tab, but only the installations that you have created yourself.

Oh, I didnt know that, I though that it showed a list in the play area, I didnt know that, thanks for your help

and also, when I do a quick play it bugs out the joining animation and I have to cancel and rejoin

Works as intended. To add new versions hit the Installations button and hit New Installation and choose the version of your choice
