When you search for some version and nothing corresponds to your search, "New installation" button dissapears.
This bug appears in old version of launcher too.
How to reproduce
Go to "Installations"
Search some version that you dont have installed
Notice how "New installation" button dissapears

Might be intentional but keep in mind that the button wont dissapear when searching for instance that exists

This issue is Working as Intended.
You have to delete what is search bar first, to be able to add new installation.

Confirmed, but this looks like an intentional design feature to me rather than a bug.
