i tried renaming the .minecraft folder to something else, pressing play and then naming it back to .minecraft but now it says "unable to update the minecraft native launcher."
[media]Please try to reinstall the launcher (copy the contents of the minecraft folder to a different location before deleting it), then restart your computer. Does this also happen with the Legacy Launcher (Win 7/8) from https://www.minecraft.net/download?
Hello turbo, i already tried that many times and i tried it again rightnow, i moved the folder to my desktop, then i deleted it, after that i uninstalled and restarted my pc. I've tried downloding the legacy launcher and it wont work, it shows as if the website was down. Im not sure what to do now bc the game wont even open anymore.
Hi again, thanks for at least trying. Now that it's a different issue, I'm going to resolve this as a duplicate of MCL-21425. Please see the comments there for more info.
You have selected the version "1.6.93 (legacy)" as affected version for your report. Nowadays most users are using the new native launcher.
If the launcher you are using has a big green "PLAY" button for starting the game, then you are using the new launcher. To find out the version you are using, please click on "Settings" in the lower left corner, then open the "About" tab. Right below "Launcher" it shows the version of the launcher.
Please update the affected versions of your report by removing "1.6.93 (legacy)" and choosing the correct version.
In case you are actually using the legacy launcher, consider switching to the new native launcher. It can be downloaded here.
