I tried to install the new 1.20.5 version of Minecraft and it kept crashing, so I uninstalled the launcher and now trying to re-install it won't work.
I've:
1. Restarted my PC several times
2. Tried uninstalling launcher download several times
3. Checked and updated PC
4. Reset router several times
5. Waited 2 hours for launcher to download. Green bar stays at about 1/8th progress.
6. Deleted my entire .minecraft folder in %appdata%, still doesn't work
7. Tried both the Microsoft Store and Minecraft website launchers each several times, no difference in results
8. Updated Java
9. Closed everything (but the installer)
10. Tried using VPN to install

By download too, I mean it's stucks on the download bars. I'm able to actually download the "installer", it just won't download the actual launcher to play Minecraft
I'm at a loss what else I can do... it installed perfectly fine on my laptop using Wi-Fi.
I'm using an adapter to get ethernet on my PC (not WiFi), which means I have download speeds 10x that of my laptop, yet my laptop could do it ~1 minute and my PC is still stuck at 2 hours not doing anything.
I can send the launcher_log file too
