After attempting to install Minecraft For Windows (Latest release) on the C drive, the install process seemingly goes smoothly, but after finalization, the install process encounters an error and immediately quits, leaving "Error" floating in the almost-full progress bar. This occurs well into the download, having apparently downloaded all relevant data. The download ultimately fails.
Reproduction probably varies. Simply press Install and see what happens. I have left a step-by-step of images in the gallery showing the install.
Note: While I listed this under 2.23.7, the Launcher actually says it is running version 2.24.17 (as 2.24.17 is unavailable in the "Affected Versions" dropdown).
Update: Attempting to install via the Xbox app also fails. I'm beginning to think this is a support issue, not a bug.

Hello. Sometimes, simply restarting the system can fix installation issues like this. It's also possible that the Minecraft installation file is damaged or incomplete. If that doesn't work, try downloading the installer again from the official Minecraft website to ensure it's complete and not corrupt. You could also try running the Minecraft installer as an administrator by right-clicking on the installation file and selecting "Run as administrator." Temporarily disabling antivirus/firewall software: Some antivirus or firewall programs may interfere with the installation process :v
Please try downloading the game via the Xbox app if possible, and make sure there are no errors in the Microsoft Store when downloading the game.
You can also reach out to community support who may be able to help solve this issue.
