Cape is not saving when equipped in launcher

When I equip my cape in the launcher I can use it if I launch the game without closing it, but if I close the launcher and reopen it's not equipped anymore. And this is mostly an issue for me because I mostly play lunar client, and even if I keep the main launcher open when I launch it doesn't show up at all. I've also tried equipping it on minecraft .net, but that also does not work. And I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher but to no avail. I have also selected and saved multiple skins with the cape, And my skin gets saved but the cape is not attached, AND I have tried doing this on multiple computers so it's not just a problem with the launcher one one device.
