I have also tried deleting and redownloading the launcher multiple times.

I’m having issues similar to this! I've been looking to download minecraft on my Macbook Pro, and tried using the launcher via minecraft.net (https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download ). When I go to click the launcher, it says something went wrong, and when I click resume, it goes for a second, gives me an option to open, then says it's removed.

I tried Safari, Google Chrome and Firefox and the dmg file is 'automatically moving to another folder' I checked my Privacy & Security settings to allow applications from anywhere. Not sure what's going on!

Hi!
Were you able to boot the Launcher before or is it your first installation?
If you previously had it installed can you please start launcher_settings.json from your minecraft folder and change channel to “beta” and save the file, then try to boot the Launcher.

If that does not work, please uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion) and then reinstall, restart your computer. Then please try to boot the Launcher.

This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.

Hi, It would open before but stopped working around a month ago.

No sure what you mean by MineCraft Folder. I download the launcher from the website and I have an icon to open the launcher. Not sure how to access this to make it beta.

This has been resolved.

I Had to go into System Preferences and go to Privacy and Security, then App management.
