The new screen for Minecraft mobile/bedrock makes the game very laggy.

My Minecraft screen when I join the app is new. I’m not saying I dislike how it looks, though I do, but ever since it changed for me, Minecraft has been laggy in game. This has happened to my brother too, and I doubt it’s a coincidence. Please get this fixed, or have an option to swap to the old screen when creating and joining worlds.
