Yesterday the launcher was working normally. This morning all of my profiles were gone; the launcher only showed the latest version and snapshot profiles. In the launcher log, I found the error:

By comparison, yesterday’s launcher log reported at the same stage:

I was able to restore my previous launcher_profiles.json from backups made on Nov. 4, and verified that it ends with
"version" : 5
}The launcher version is 3.22.8-2.3.2. According to the logs, the version has not changed in at least the last four days which implies this error was a spurious glitch.

Restoring the launcher_profiles.json from the .bak file fixes the issue
I’d be happy to share my launcher logs, but as I noticed in another report about the same issue, attaching my logs and the .json file seems to trigger the bot. Now the issue seems to be gone.
i also got the same problem. i tried using the .bak file but that didnt fix it. heres my 3 latest logs and the launcher_profiles.json

After consideration, the issue is being closed as Won't Fix.
Please note that this is not the same as Working as Intended, as this bug report correctly describes behavior in the game that might not be the intended or desirable behavior, but it will not be fixed right now. Sometimes, this is because the issue reported is minor and/or impossible to change without large architectural changes to the code base.
