Launcher profiles (launcher_profiles.json) file is being reset for no known reason for multiple users, as reported on Reddit (EVERY single launcher profile just reset randomly?) as early as 6pm EST November 7th. I noticed the issue this morning (November 8th, around 8am EST). The only installations present are Latest Version and Latest Snapshot, with JVM arguments also reset. Attached will be the log files for my last two successful loads from the 7th, and the log files for today, the 8th, including and subsequent to the issue occurring.
After making edits to the JVM arguments in the basic installation profiles, closing, and reopening, my changes persisted; if the issue will repeat itself, it has not so far.
Saved files directory is not affected so this is not necessarily catastrophic, only the profile installations so far. Multiplayer (server list) is unnaffected.
