Minecraft Launcher Issue: "You are not connected to the Internet" Error

Hello,

I am trying to log into the Minecraft launcher, but I am unable to. When I open the launcher, I see the screen prompting me to "Log in with Microsoft".

In the top-right corner, a red error banner appears that says: "Error logging in. If the problem continues, check your internet connection."

When I click the green "Log in with Microsoft" button, an Xbox pop-up window appears stating: "You are not connected to Internet. Check your network connection and try again."

The main problem is that I am definitely connected to the Internet. My connection is working perfectly for everything else (my web browser, other apps, etc.).

I've seen that I'm not the only one experiencing this; several other people are reporting the same error. It seems to be a widespread issue with the Microsoft or Mojang authentication services, which are incorrectly detecting that there is no connection.

Is this a known server-side issue that your team is aware of, or is there a specific fix I can try on my end?

Thank you.

Hi jodes,

I hope you're doing well. I wanted to tell you that I've fixed the problem!

It turned out to be pretty simple in the end. All I did was:

  1. Uninstall the Minecraft launcher (important: without deleting the .minecraft folder or anything).

  2. Go to "Installed apps" in the Windows Settings.

  3. Reset every Xbox application (like the Xbox app, Xbox Game Bar, etc.) one by one.

  4. And restart the PC.

And that was it! I hope this information can help you if you run into the same error.

Thank you for your report!
