Cannot select older versions in Installations tab on Ubuntu

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Open the Minecraft Launcher on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS.

  2. Go to the Installations tab.

  3. Click New Installation to create a new Minecraft profile.

  4. Attempt to select a Minecraft version from the Version dropdown menu.

Expected result:
The dropdown menu allows selection of any available version, and the chosen version is correctly set for the new installation.

Actual result:
No matter which version is selected, the dropdown menu automatically jumps back to the latest release. It is not possible to create an installation with any version other than the latest. Even opening the dropdown menu is difficult (see attachment).

Environment

Screen resolution: 2K (2560Γ—1440)
Operating system: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
Minecraft Launcher version: v.3.22.20-2.3.2
