[MCL-295] serious lag on multiplayer when using new launcher

Steps to reproduce

Head to 1.5.2 (on the launcher) and join a server
Record FPS
Then join a 1.5.2 server on the old launcher and record FPS
The new launcher will have far more lag

No, cannot confirm.

Please provide more information as "Launcher 0.7".

With both the old and new launcher: Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while ingame and attach the crash report here

Blind guess, you are playing on a laptop with integrated graphics rather than your discrete videocard. Add java.exe to your 'exception list' for programs wanting to use discrete gpu pow.

Yes so? Typically a mac still has two videocards and there is no 'good' way to define which application wants a 'high performance profile' or not.
