Minecraft will not launch

When I click on "Minecraft" on my desktop, it starts the Launcher and I log in. Everything works and looks fine in the Launcher. Then I go to press play and it downloads, starts the game, and closes the launcher. Once the game starts, I get a static Mojang loading screen for about 2-5 seconds, and then it crashes and opens up the launcher with a bunch of confusing crash codes.
