The Brand New Minecraft Launcher Can't Load

Ok, the new minecraft launcher came out today (2-5-15) and i installed it. My friend says it works fine but it doesnt even load for me. I installed it and all, but it didnt load and kept saying (quote) "Failed to load the minecraft enviorment. This is most likely due to a corruption. Please try to install minecraft again." So I opened the setup wizard where it said fix (corruptions crashes etc.) and that didnt work. So then I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and THAT DIDNT WORK. Please tell me what to do. Luckily the old one works fine.
