Game doesn't even launch, I press play and it instantly crashes.

When I press play on the launcher it crashes immediately, the install is new. Log shows "Game ended with bad state (exit code -1)"

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected to press play and launch minecraft

What actually happened was...:
The launcher comes back with a crash report
