Crashes when I open map

I recently brought minecraft for the pc and most of the time I try to open a map up, it will crash every time I spawn. it would also always give me this crash repot message that I attached to this below (I don't know what any of it means). please help me as I am getting more irritated and frustrated

Follow the steps at MC-32606.

This is a problem with Minecraft, not the launcher.

Correction: This is a problem with the graphics card drivers not minecraft, nor the launcher.

ok I found the JVM Augment box, the first letters say -Xmx1G. Is that all I change or is there more to it? ( I just changed the 1G to 2G)
