Describe what you thought should happen here: i though it would just run smoothly with no issues

What actually happened was...:
Describe what happened here: so i opened my minecraft launcher last night after going on a server that i'm staff on, and it would not load. I would click on the shortcut on my task-bar and it would just highlight it for a second or two and just go back to being closed and not running. so i restarted my computer thinking that was the issue, and it did not work. I tried it again and again thinking the length that it was shut off for was the problem yet it never resolved its self and i'm starting to get worried. i tried re-installing my minecraft multiple times and that has not worked either. it seems that i am out of options and am left turned to you guys for help
