[MCL-7441] it wont let me play the game because it failed to load The Download for 1.12

every time i Try to press download it says that the file can not be loaded and/or Downloaded and it starting to Worry me i wanted to play minecraft today but it seems like it did let me play minecraft and i need this resolved as soon as possible thank you for your time i would like to play minecraft as fast as i can!!~

i'm having the same problem your not the only one who is having this issue i just released a report of this issue not a long while a go which is basically 2 minutes ago, their might be many people who is also having this problem. because it's frustrating me since it won't let me play at all! i wish mojang fix's this soon.

I don't know how to fix it, but you can still play by going to Launch Options, click add new configuration, click the dropdown and click version 1.11.2, then click add new config then go back to main screen of launcher, clicking the up arrow next to the play button, and choosing the 11.2 version.
