[MCL-9417] Minecraft Launcher has stopped working!

I can play on 1.12.2 all right... but when i try to open snapshot the game opens, displays the mojang sign for a split second and then closes automatically... a dialog box appears saying the minecraft launcher has stopped working... no crash reports in the folder

HEy the launcher_logs gets deleted when minecraft launcher crashes

Settings> check the tabs to keep the launcher open and open the logs upon start. See if that keeps it open for you to at least copy/paste the generated log before they get deleted?

Well, in there is nothing in that launcher_log, please attach the crash report ([minecraft|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt)

But in the launcher_log.txt you've attached isn't any try to start a version, it's just the startup of the launcher.

When i try to start a version launcher log gets deleted.
