Freezing mojang red screen after 2.14 update

I have had small issues with game start up before the 2.14 update. I would close the game and restart it, then it would work. After 2.14 update it freezes every time on red mojang screen. I tired disconnecting internet, closing out of the game & restarting. Restarting the playstation. Its not working. Installed 2.15 update and its still frozen. I searched for similar reports, but wasn't able to find recent reports of this issue. I do not have PSVR, and tried starting game with internet connection disabled.
