The new hot fix for PS4 stops the game from loading. It gets to the Home Screen and then stops and freezes. It won't load whether or not you are trying to sign in to a Microsoft account or not.

Same exact issue, I'm getting tired of mojang making updates that make the game unplayable. I miss the simple minecraft if im being honest. I wish i didn't update the game.

Same here. After update it takes a LONG time to load the title screen. Once it loads it freezes up after couple of seconds. Very consistent.

Same issue here. Playing fine yesterday when it initially updated, tried to get on today and it freezes either at the home screen or when loading into a game. Tried restarting the game and PS4 several times with no luck.

2.16 has never started. I have not been able to play in a week. When will this be fixed?

Minecraft became impossible to be played after update 2.16, when it enters the game it is constantly stopping, so I noticed whenever it will freeze and after some time it will start again, it is impossible to play like this. when do you fix all these issues from the last update? does anyone have a solution for this?

On the same boat here. After deleting the game and copying it back from the CD it works. But after the 2.16 update is applied it works for few minutes and once the console has been restarted it just get stuck at the load screen. Please, Please fix this.

I'm not saying this will work but I tried this fix (spotted via https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-84790) , and 24 hours later it just ... worked?
"Today we are releasing a hotfix for PlayStation 4 that will enable you to clear your sign in data when launching the game, which we hope will avoid the issue where the game is getting stuck on the loading screen and also crashing. Here are the details:
You may wish to try the following after the game has updated to version 1.16.1.03:
Launch Minecraft
When the initial loading screen appears, hold the following buttons:
Button combination is L1 + R1 + L2 + R2 + OPTIONS + Touch Pad, and must be held until the initial splash screen is removed"

I am having a similar issue when minecraft first loads with the Mojang studios screen has freezed up and stops loading on my PS4. 2 times already, I have uninstalled minecraft and redownloaded the program to get past this issue by updating it before its last update. Its actually getting very frustrating to enjoy the game when you have to take the time to uninstall it, then turn around to reinstall it, and monitor it from updating to the last update. Would some one within the company please explain to why it stops loading at the Mojang studio screen.
