Eternal "Leave Bed" glitch

You sleep, you try to go through a portal, you crash. Eternally. Always. Forever. If you try to reload you will be met with the black "leave bed" screen of sadness. When you press anything you will be kicked to the main menu (this only affects the crashed world). I lost hundreds, maybe thousands of hours of progress due to this glitch. It's supposed to be patched, but it's not.
