Microsoft log in crashes the game

I bought the game on the app store, and it loads fine and I can play singleplayer too. But if I try to log into the Microsoft account it imeduatly crashes, no error message, no screen to enter the account details, it just crashes after 1 second of trying to load. I tried it with the Xbox app, and being logged into it and the Microsoft website and the Xbox live website as well. The result was always the same crash. We through a number of different bug reports, none of the workarounds worked. Did the fov and render distance change to a lower one. Still crash. I'd like some help or insight on why this happens and if there is any fix for this
