Suppose I die atleast 15-20 blocks above lava lake, the netherite times will not float, but will submerge inside the lava lake, making it difficult to know if the items despawned or if they are still present.
This happened to me in survival. To prove it, I replicated it in a creative world. The items did not float back up the surface.
