Items stay suspended in lava.
Expected behaviour:
Netherite items float to the top of lava
Actual behaviour:
Netherite items don't rise and just stay on the same y-level
Steps to reproduce:
Swim in lava so you're under the surface
Throw an item
Go to the surface
The item will stay under the surface

Oh my GOD!!! thank you so much for posting this. Initially searched for this issue but didn’t come across it. Man I lost my netherite items to this bug. I initially assumed it despawned but were right below the lava lake. My items eventually despawned as I was looking around for hours.

@unknown: I cannot reproduce this in 1.16.100 or 1.16.210.50 Beta. Have you made sure that all of the lava blocks are source blocks?
