Mushroom blocks don't change to the correct texture

Mushroom blocks have an ability that when you connect two blocks together, they create the "pores" texture in between them.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. take some red, brown or stem (white) mushroom blocks

  2. place two next to each other

  3. break one of them and oberve the side that was touching the other block

Observed Results:
the texture remains the same

Expected Results:
the specific side should have the "pores" texture like in Java edition or like the natural mushrooms (structures)

Screenshots/Videos attached: Below there are two videos showing the diferent results on Java and Bedrock.
