Instamine Does not work on Bedrock

I have a beacon that is set up 9x9, 7x7, 5x5, 3x3 with the haste effect on it (yes, the beacon is active), and a netherite pickaxe with efficiency V on it, but mining with haste is no faster than just mining with efficiency V. I thought we should be able to instamine stone, but have not been able to do it.

This bug has been in the game through multiple versions for me on Bedrock Edition for the Xbox One.

is it a haste II beacon?

is it a haste II beacon?

It is working as intended for me. It may be that in your testing, you destroyed the beacon, but you still have the haste effect. Beacon effects linger around for a while after you destroy the beacon, make sure you don't have the effect before testing without the haste effect.

I have done no such thing. I literally tried again, took down the beacon, made sure I didn't have the effect, rebuilt the beacon with a 9x9, 7x7, 5x5, and 3x3 of gold blocks and put an emerald in the beacon and selected the haste effect. No luck. Are you on Minecraft Bedrock for Xbox One?

Did you select the pickaxe on the left followed by the pickaxe on the right?

Did you select the pickaxe on the left followed by the pickaxe on the right?

Apparently I am a derp and there is no issue. Didn’t realize I needed to select haste twice.
