I'm getting some graphical errors, including the icon (in my app launcher, etc.) not rendering the Minecraft Pocket Edition logo and the options screen being absolutely broken. See attachments.

Also, I've noticed some websites (such as Minecraft Wiki and this bug tracker's version selector) claiming 0.12.1 being unreleased. I'm not sure if these websites haven't been updated yet or if I somehow got a strange build of Minecraft, but I got 0.12.1 from the official Play Store. My device is unmodded and I'm not part of any Google+ group or whatever to be receiving beta builds. The game even says "v0.12.1 alpha" on the title screen and it doesn't have the "(version) build #" or whatever on the top of the screen.
