I haven't been able to access the realm with cellular data since the last update.
cellular data play is enabled.
I also tried reinstalling the app and restarting the device, but it was a waste of time.

It's the same with me, I used to be able to get on with cellular data all the time and it keeps saying I need to connect to wifi. I don't always have wifi access and I can't really play now. I tried disabling and enabling cellular data and uninstalling then reinstalling minecraft and it still doesn't work.
Can confirm... Won't let me play using cellular data. This is a critical bug and should be fixed soon

I’m having the same issue, I can’t join any realm or server even though I have data play enabled and prior to this update I haven’t had a single issue with it letting me play. I’m a realm admin and I can’t do my job because I can’t access the realm I’m a part of.
