Ive been playing a hard mode survival for the past week.. since the update to 1.16.100 i've been getting killed by invisible mobs. once in the overworld and just recently today the same mob killed me in an abandoned mine 4 times. the text in chat said i was killed by a zombie. im not sure if they are just stuck inside the walls, ceiling or floor or if they are just invisible?

i too have been taking random damage in both the overworld and nether. nothing around and had no idea what was hitting me

I was just killed by an invisible skeleton standing in front of a zombie spawn I rigged to kill zombies without damage. I started getting hit and I turned and turned but nothing was there, then I was hit harder and faster. I was in a narrow cave no places to hide. The Death notice told me I was killed by a skeleton. I saved and came back to see arrows on the wall. Arrows I didn’t see before.
