Weird Glitch When Generating Worlds

I was creating a Creative world to play on on Minecraft Bedrock. When I hit the Create button the screen transitioned from the “Edit World” options screen to the “Generating World” screen and back multiple times in rapid succession. It finally began to generate the world after several seconds.

I do not know if this problem is with the game or my system (which is only about 1 year old) but the world generation has also been taking considerably longer after the 1.16.100 release.
