Item collection sound is always the same

When picking up items, the sound that is played is always the same. There should be other sounds that play.

Don't compare to other minecraft versions. If you would like to request features, you can do that in the minecraft forums page.

But before 0.11.0 there were multiple sounds when collecting items and now there is only one which gets repetitive and is annoying.
