i go onto my world which is 600 MB large. also was created before the nether update ever since the game updated to 1.16.100. it will say generating world and sometimes it will let me in but most of the time the XP bar disappears and it stays on that screen forever. so then i have to refresh the game. this has happen about 40 times and is really annoying. it just happens with my single player mode.

This may be a coincidence, but does this glitch happen mostly on worlds with powered, repeating command blocks? None of my worlds that have them powered will let me on, but some of them that don’t have repeating command blocks will sometimes work.

Gage if you think command blocks are the cause then turn them off in world settings.

Thanks for the idea, it hadn’t occurred to me. Unfortunately, command blocks weren’t the problem and this glitch still happens on all of my worlds. It doesn’t seem to be a problem with what is in the worlds, but rather loading worlds as a whole.
