Just got the new update yesterday and the game is completely uplayable. I've tried vanilla games with no resource packs or skins enabled but I can't play the game. My son's game updated and he can play. He has a GTX 460 card with no graphics update in 2 years. Mine is a Radeon HD 7870, I had this issue so I updated the drivers yesterday. See picture, doesn't matter if I use a save game or a newly created one. I can sometimes see the map, but most of the time I see what's attached in the picture.

I have a Windows Surface Pro and I've checked that my graphics driver is up to date but my game will constantly go to a red screen, followed by a black screen of the color of the sky, and then goes to the game but only the entities are loaded in. This will constantly happen to me with no warning.

I have the same bug like Connor has on my Surface Pro 4. When it does that on a server, it doesn't show anything but entities and then it does the same thing again a few minutes later showing the blocks.

I have the same type of artifacts as shown in the attached screenshot. They started to appear with the 1.16.200 update.
Initially the main menu was missing when I started Minecraft, so I could not enter a game. Then I updated to the latest AMD graphics drivers and started Minecraft from the AMD Radeon Software. I could then see the main menu and enter a game, but I frequently (with just seconds in between when moving around) get artifacts as in the attached screenshot.
I use the following HW:
Laptop: ASUS X555D
CPU: AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6, 10 Compute Cores 4C+6G, RAM 8 GB
GPU1: AMD Radeon R6 Graphics VRAM1 1024 MB, DDR3 667 MHz
GPU2: AMD Radeon R6 M340DX VRAM2 2048 MB, DDR3 900 MHz
Radeon Software-version 20.12.1 (2020.1204.0703.12704) (from 2020-12-04)
Driver version: 20.45.01.28-201204a-361901C-RadeonSoftwareAdrenalin2020
